OWS Artists Strut Their Stuff

Posted by Rosie Huart on August 30, 2009 at 8:48 PM

Saturday afternoon at Troy-Hayner Cultural Center in Troy, Ohio, was the scene of the 32nd annual Ohio Watercolor Society art exhibition. The paintings were hung in the 1914 mansion with its beautiful hand-carved marbled fireplaces, molded plaster ceilings and leaded glass windows.  An artists' reception was held in the east room and the solarium.  Chen-Khee Chee was the international artist/juror who selected the 73 paintings from 312 entries.  Following the reception the awards and banquet were held at the Troy Country Club.  The exhibition at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center can be viewed until October 4, 2009.

I "Googled" the Hayner Center today and what a delightful surprise to find your website with such beautiful photographs and kind words about the Center. We certainly did enjoy the opportunity to host the Ohio Watercolor Society and to meet so many wonderful artists. Linda Lee Jolly, Hayner Director
