Trish McKinney and I will be on hand to answer questions regarding our Painting the Essence of France art workshop April 20-26, 2012, on Wednesday, December 14, 6-8 PM.   The presentation will take place at Town & Country Fine Art Center, 300 E. Stroop Rd., Dayton, Ohio, (next to BWW in the shopping center).  You are invited to come and learn about this trip of a lifetime.

In September a Poetry Corner will be set up at Town & Country Fine Art Center.  The space will be conducive for anyone to stop in, sit a spell, read, write and listen.  There will be poetry books and a journal titled River of Words where one can write their own words and the next person who comes along can add a thread to the previous writer's words.  The thought is that words can be uplifting and possibly an inspiration to those who need to be heartened along their journey.

It was a very moving exhibition opening for the Brandon Haskins Memorial Exhibiit.  Along with paintings of the artists' interpretations of a poem written by his sister, there were other poets and story-tellers that shared their memories of this remarkable young man.  Some of the original paintings featured will have prints available at the end of the exhibition.  There are 3 live trees with painted leaves for viewers to add their messages to Brandon.

Celebrate National Poetry Month at

Town & Country Fine Art Center

Join artists and poets Sunday, April 3, 2011, 5-7 PM, as we gather to celebrate the creative word and original works of art painted by artists from the gallery.  The title of the show is:  

 12 Lines 12 Inch   

Artists have selected poems written from the poets' pen and have painted their interpretation of the poems on a 12" surface.  It should be an exciting event.  Won't you join us?

        Painting the Essence of Greece

A reunion exhibit will be held at Town & Country Fine Art Center in Kettering, Ohio, during the month of April, 2011.  This exhibition is displaying the art of participants that traveled to Italy andGreece the fall of 2010.  The opening reception is Saturday, April 2, 2011, from 5-8 PM.
